So I feel a little strange and embarrassed posting this...
A couple of years ago I was in a ward where a guy named Ben Crowder was the executive secretary. He sent out an e-mail every week with the ward's announcements, and his e-mail signature included a link to his blog.
I checked it out one time and found an interesting post on the hot-button topic of whether kissing before marriage is good or bad. The post itself was intriguing, and the ensuing debate in the comments was downright fascinating (there's even a surprising twist at the end if you read through all of them).
Ever since then, I've checked out Ben's blog on a semi-regular basis, just lurking, never commenting (although, now that my secret's out, I might as well start joining in on the conversations).
I bring this up now because Ben recently noted that he has posted on his blog more than 1,000 times! That is unbelievable! I'm at around 20 posts and already feel like I'm running out of steam. Most of my friends that have blogs average two or three posts per month. It's surprisingly difficult to update a blog on a regular basis. I am extremely impressed by Ben's dedication and consistency in getting new content up on his blog. I think that, more than anything else, is why I check it out so often (if you check out both blogs, you'll see that Ben and I are about as dissimilar as two single, 20-something active LDS guys can be).
So kudos to you, Ben. Keep up the good work.

This is a good one. I have to admit I did not read every thing, but I did skip to the end and found that he had changed his mind about waiting, which I assumed would happen. Very interesting, and so true!
The best part about Ben's blog are the comments. It's seems he's been doing that more as of late, instigating a conversation rather than just saying his opinion about everything. His recent one's on the "Twilight" book series & Obama have led to some interesting comments from the gallery.
Personally I like your blog better Jeff, I find it funnier, so keep u the good work until you've hit 1000 posts!

It would be easier to blog a lot if you posted about current events, social issues, and politics on a regular basis. I don't know your stance, but I steadfastly refuse to do more on my blog than reference in some humorous way politics or possibly controversial issues.
My blog is for fun (both mine and the six readers I have), not for pontification or discussion on politics or social issues. For me, there are other places for my deep thoughts, my spiritual epiphanies, and how I feel about legalizing weed.
I agree with shabba shabba--same for my blog. Oh, and I thought that guy sounded self righteous in his initial post. "I guess I'm going towards higher standards." Bah.
We're getting into some borderline Ben bashing here, which was certainly not my intention. Let's all just enjoy the kissing post and associated comments for what it is, and not leave any negative comments about it on my blog or his. (But thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my blog.)
By the way, would The Kissing Post be a better name for a restaurant, a store, or a band? I can't decide.

jeffy, you're freakin' me out again! i generally don't believe that we think similarly or have the same sense of humor, but once again, we were mind melding--after reading your comment about "the kissing post," i was all set to make a glib comment about how that should be an old-west-themed store, but you beat me to the punch. (mmm...punch...)
